(1) Did you get accepted at Harvard, Stanford, or Yale? If yes, then go because you are going to make connections with future CEOs and general counsel that will set up your career for as long as you want to practice.
(2) Did you get accepted at a top-50 school in the region or state you want to ultimately practice? If yes, go for it.
(3) Is your mom or dad a managing partner at a law firm without anti-nepotism rules where you plan to work after graduation? If yes, go for it.
(4) If no to all of the above — Maybe reconsider going to law school. Or at least adjust your expectations about what you plan to do after graduation.
