I've been to zero Kalani practices
but I attended quite a few Bronco practices and enough LaVell practices to know how it worked with him.
Bronco's practices were very regimented. They had bits for almost everything including position skills. Ziggy spent a lot of time with position coaches. I agree that a lot of this stuff is handled in spring and fall camps. Once you're in-season there is less skills coaching unless film reveals a weakness that can be handled by brushing up or learning a new technique.
