I alluded to the coordinator hires in my post. I think if Sitake had hired
experienced assistants, we’d have done better — and I think Holmoe shares responsibility for that since football is the flagship program in his department and it was a new head coach.
As for retrospect, there were definitely folks thrilled with the hires. I was not one of them, but I was at least hopeful at the time it might pan out regardless.
