I don’t think what he said was necessarily wrong, though I don’t agree completely with it. I do think that his timing and his reading of the current situation was pretty poor, and the backlash to it is understandable.

However, I feel like he’s pretty sincere in his apology and that after years of giving back to the community and of being an example of integrity in the NFL, Drew has earned some benefit of the doubt.
