He has a long history of treating people very well and doing amazing things with and for the community. He should be one of the people that can be used to promote healthy discussion and positive change. He is well respected, well known, and a long history to being a stand-up person and treating all with respect. But, because he didn't say exactly the right thing at the exact correct time...he has to suffer for some weird reason.

The impact of this is to alienate the very people who could help cause the most actual change in this country. People are now more afraid than every to say anything, even when they are in support of real change. It seems like a very, very short sighted and misguided approach to things.
