chilango Intervention Needed
In the Drew Brees situation, couldn't one argue that the opposite has happened?
Whereas in the past Drew would have probably heard only/primarily from those who agree with him, and who would compliment him on his principled stand, he has now learned that there are many who perceive it very differently.

Basically, it was not possible for him to live in an echo chamber on this particular issue. And most of the country has been exposed to all the various perspectives on the topic of police brutality in the black community, not only with Brees or the recent protests, but going back to the Kaepernick-inspired kneeling demonstrations.

I say this recognizing that many people do indeed tend to retreat into their online/media echo chambers as much as possible.
