Wilson played against the better defenses, especially September schedule. Except Toledo (which wasn’t his best game) I thought he played pretty well for a true Sophomore coming off a shoulder injury that kept him from practicing much in the off season.

I’ve rewatched most of the games from last year. We had a big problem at OG last year. The OGs were consistently giving up pressure right up the middle and that stalled some drives and caused several turnovers. SDSU and Washington games in particular were abysmal pass protection, even USF at times. We also didn’t run the ball well enough inside the 20. Injury played a role at OG struggles as we had to play multiple guys there.

Yet everyone seems to blame our Sophomore qb. For the record, I like all the qbs, but Wilson has the best arm talent and work ethic. Hall should be given a good chance to compete as he’s dynamic, but unfortunately has the concussion history. Romney is a gammer but we beat Boise on trick plays and actually having a defensive scheme.....UsU and a Liberty weren’t good defensive teams.
