I'm not sold that his staff is all that great at recruiting. I believe Kalani's classes have been ranked lower than his predecessor. Even if they were the same rank, that's not improvement.

I'm also not sold on his ability to bring solid football minds together. I don't see great football thought displayed in the 4 years of games I've seen. I have hope for Grimes, but it has dimmed a bit. Our offense hasn't been markedly better than when Detmer was OC. But I still have hope.

Eric Mateos - jury is still out, but the O line last year was very up and down. More down than up. Run game blocking & pass protection was not great a LOT last year.

QB coach Roderick hasn't been great. It doesn't appear that our QB's make progress through the year and years.

Steve Clark has been excellent.

Tuiaki as DC has been a disaster. He should have been gone year 2.

So, we shall see. I hope the great football minds all jell and we return to good football and win lots of games. And multiple & consecutive NCs.
