My wife's grandparents are leaving their fortune behind in the form of a family
legacy cabin down in southern Utah. Anyone in the family can book and use the place and the grandparents ongoing trust fund money pays a local property management company to clean up the place, make repairs, etc. I kind of like the idea, but I wonder how many generations this will last before some kind of family fighting tears the whole thing apart. Generally, I believe that funding education and family vacations, reunions, and experiences are a great way to pass down wealth to progeny.
