I don't agree..
People give college recruiting too much credit. There are tons of skilled players that slide through the cracks. There are also a TON of guys sitting at #2 or #3 spots that just need their chance.
A simple change in coaching can push 'the top guy' to the bottom of the depth chart.

Remember the NFL refs strike? They had refs who could replace them but the product was significantly inferior.
