They have a WR corps that stinks so badly that no one player is definitively the best (and one of their breakout players, Dax Milne, was a walkon). Their RB position is largely by committee, etc.
A few players at the top might strike—but there's just too much at stake and teams are composed of too many players for a widespread strike to be effectively maintained. Think of all the backups who would just love it if the starter slipped up so that they could get a chance.
Aside from the top handful of players on a team, there's just too much parity in college football for a strike to impact the quality of the game in a meaningful way.
