You completely miss the brilliance if you haven’t studied up on (1) Hamilton’s

Story. Reading the biography by Chernow, which inspired the play, is a must. He lived an incredible life and did so much to establish our country. (2) the music/lyrics. The lyrics are essentially the Clif’s notes of the LONG Chernow book. But if you don’t listen closely, or Read the lyrics, you won’t get a portion of the story. It really is powerful.

Once you get that Foundation, you realize that this play is probably the most brilliant piece of art of our day. Unbelievable!

Just picking it up and listening....easy to get turned off and not get
