Would Dak be a less effective QB if he had torn his ACL? Of course he would. Would he be a less effective leader if he tore his ACL? That could be up for debate. So, in my mind the conversation should have been more along the lines of will this have an impact on his ability to be a leader of the Cowboys? In some ways, I think it will. But I don't think it is all negative either. Some people on the team will find his openness and honesty about it an inspiration to work even harder so they can support him.
