and their faults diminished. We also tend to focus on the faults of their competitors and diminish their talents. I would hope that parents use this a learning opportunity and tell their kids that they weren't good enough to make that team and they need to work harder for the next season. The worst thing a parent can do is openly blame politics as the reason they didn't make the team.
