This isn't to your point, but while at Mt. Rushmore,
I had some plain vanilla ice cream that was supposedly based on Thomas Jefferson's recipe. It was literally the best vanilla ice cream I've ever had. If they still have it worth the money.

Another place I enjoyed visiting was the Black Thunder Coal mine in Wyoming. Very impressive. Not sure if they are open
