So I don’t have to pay for full insurance coverage
and small deductibles required by a loan. Nor hassle with payments nor do a bunch of extra paperwork at close
Who cares about interest rates? It’s only 30-40K of investment. The net arbitraged difference isn’t worth the hassle. Just write a check.
