Souvenir revenue which is likewise a very high profit margin. The $32/seat is typical in the chair seat areas now and remember the actual amount of revenue drops as you evaluate revenue per less expensive seats and bench seats. But if you take away 20,000 bench seats to fit in 10,000 chair seats, you are cutting out both ticket sales and concession sales. It works for Stanford. We will see soon if it works for Arizona State. Stanford has always had difficulty filling its stadium and even does now at 50,000. ASU did not have much difficulty filling its stadium in Tempe. So its a better comparison to see what works.
I am going hard back to the models at Michigan, Notre Dame, Penn State, Alabama, Georgia, etc. where chair seat mixes are about what we see at LES or less. If you want chair seats, pony up and pay for them. It's not BYU's responsibility to add subsidized chair seats for you so you can sit on the 20 yard line. Maybe you should be rooting for Cal.
