Open shots in games was one of the most frustrating issues with BYU in the past.
Pope in one season turned this around and the improvements from last year's team was great. We did much better hitting the wide open threes which translated to a great percentage for the year. We need to be hitting those 70+% of the time which will balance out the contested threes. In past years I felt like we rarely made wide open threes.

Haarms will be interesting to see his improvement this year and how many threes he shoots. I know he shot a few at Purdue, but I believe Pope sees his potential which will help his stock at the next level. I believe this was one of the main selling points that convinced Haarms to come to BYU.
