The game with Hartsock was a week after the NCAA tourney in 2012 when his college career was over. It was a pickup game in the smith field house. I’m a 5’9” scrub with a decent shot. He was just messing around, distributing the ball to his team so they could score. He assisted me twice on elbow jumpers and I was over the moon about that.

I also played at Vasa in Orem with Demarcus Harrison his brother (union college player), and some others who were mostly JuCo players. I had no business being on the court with them. Demarcus was so unbelievably athletic. His shot was nothing special, but my goodness he could jump out of the gym. I’ve never seen anything like it. He was grabbing rebounds feet above the rim, it was wild. I just sat in the corner waiting for open threes and was basically worthless haha
