...rent free in everyone's head.
When the MWC included TCU, UTAH and BYU, it did NOT include USU, SJSU, Fresno State, Nevada and none of those are the equals of the prior three. Boise made a living for the first 2 decades of FBS beating up on weak WAC competition. After BYU, Utah and TCU moved on, BSU and the others came into the MWC and BSU continued to essentially beat up on the same old WAC schools and the mainly bottom dwellers (save AFA and SDSU) from the MWC. BSU may be 3-7 vs BYU but 5 wins were by barely one score.
Yes Blueberry State is very good and well coached. But please. Look at them as the very little brother that they are. They play in an odd 34,000 seat stadium on painted blue plastic. Does Ohio State need to paint its entire field red? Does Michigan paint its entire field Navy Blue and Maze. At Tennessee and Upchucky, we are used to seeing the "checkerboard end zones" that are the throwback to thoroughbred racing. But those are real football traditions. The blue turf is frankly that gimmick the youngest child does to get the attention of a barely observant father who is busy trying to help the teenage son work his way through calculus. Speaking of calculus, is that subject even taught at the 613th ranked academic institution that is a full 10 x lower ranked than BYU academically. Even USU and Ole Miss rank around 300 spots higher. 😉
Maybe it's that so many of you have relatives in Hideehoe. Who knows? But this unnatural and weird obsession with Blueberry State is just pathetic. Please stop all of you. it's really embarrassing.
