Have you seen Boise State play this year?
No? Neither have I. You don't know what they are capable of. BYU has been great at times, and average at best at other times (as we have already established).
BYU hasn't played a team that is as good as Boise State usually is (I don't know how good they will be this year, but probably more or less the same as every other year).
The talent level at both schools is essentially the same as it has been the last few years. Zack Wilson didn't suddenly become a completely different player, neither did the rest of BYU's team. They are more experienced, as is the coaching staff, but they are still the same players.
If Boise State is as good as they usually are, I believe the result will be close to the same as they usually are. BYU should win, but dominate? I'll be surprised if that happens.

Every team looks pedestrian at times. BYU has elite players at key positions and great players around the field.
