at no fault of his own, won't have the talent to match up week to week. Risks simply outweigh the rewards. Scouts will default to the "want to see him against better competition" stance for the next few months, but at the end of the day that is never an ultimate factor for scouts and GMs.
It is all talk for now, but if he keeps it up and remains healthy, his pro day and combine matter 10x more than "Competing against better competition" in the regular season.
Don't be weird about this BYU fans, if he is 1-2 rounder, be happy for him and cheer on his decision to go pro and make millions for his family.
