Preseason Coaches Poll had Utes in the top 20. Given how much talent Utah has playing in the NFL right now
from last year's team, that's mad respect.
If you're trying to knock national perception, keep in mind, this is Utah's rebuilding year and BYU's best year in a decade. Utah was a 7 point favorite ahead of the game.
Not taking anything away from BYU, but I think there's a much greater discrepancy between how BYU fans see Utah — and what the real national perception is.
Utah will never be more than a mid-tier P5...but the program is exceptionally well respected.
