...a hermit. Cincinnati can lose 1 and is still the likely G5 rep. BYU loss and the Cougars are out of the NY6. But, BYU wind and it could be playoff bound. Some of your concerns may be valid, but in this weird year, probably not. I just don't see these two teams playing.

There is another reason for both schools to do it. It guarantees that they are not playing each other in NY6 game.
