What they read on Twitter isn't going to be their source of data. If the question comes up, "well, BYU hasn't played anyone", their not going to peruse CougarBoard and Instagram or read the latest take from Stephen A Smith. Their simply going to ask the people in the room what they know about it, and who they know that might know more about it and get the answer they really need.
A press release by Tom Holmoe isn't going to be the difference between BYU-IN and BYU-OUT. If it's a real question, they'll call up Tom and ask him. And he can provide the details that they need.
