There are only 12 spots... ideally it’s the 12 highest CFP ranks.
But the highest ranked g5 and highest ranked conference champ being outside the top five ALSO pushes BYU back effectively another spot because they have a guaranteed spot. Meaning instead of needing to be In The top 12 to get a spot you potentially need to be in the top 11 or 10. We want Oregon and Cincinnati to keep winning so they stay in the top twelve and do t make it harder on us to get in.
