My 11 year old daughter.... “If she’s going to be kicker on a football team, shouldn’t she be making lots of 3 pointers
(she meant field goals of course) and be crazy, crazy good? That kick looked really bad.”
OP nailed it. This isn’t an accomplishment for females. It’s not an accomplishment for anyone. Tell the story if she goes 3/3 on field goals. Tell the story if she nails a game winning field goal. Tell the story if she makes 10 straight PATs. But this story? Horrible team, horrible kick, no contribution but a halftime speech every dude on that team for sure hated?
Yeah... that’s the message we want to send to young women in our society.
Men and women are different physically and that’s OK!!
Plenty of things no biological male is ever going to do that women do and do well.
