I really wish this had been a normal season with the good schedule we'd set up. I understand why the committee can't give us credit for beating good teams, since there's no guarantee how we would have done against them, but it still sucks.

Being a G5 (or non-ND independent) means you're not going to have many really great seasons. Utah did it a few times, Boise and TCU as well, and this was the year that all the stars aligned for BYU to have the talent to compete with anyone. But unlike all those other teams, they're not getting the chance to prove it besides beating up on North Alabama. If we'd had our original schedule and lost some games, it would have sucked, but at least we would have known. As it stands though, it's always going to be a lingering question of how good this team actually is.
