I feel that I had a similar experience by staying in the mission field as well

My father was undiagnosed as well. Thought he might have pneumonia and went to see a doctor. He was immediately admitted to the hospital and died 3 weeks later. He was a NM, had smoked since his teens, and was only 47 at the time. I miss him every day and it makes me sad how much he has missed out on when it comes to my family.
