I've heard it called 'Dr's Wife Syndrome' - She put him through school

, they lived in terrible apartments, and in student wards, and drove a beater car for undergrad, med school and residency, and after 8 years of school or more, she's done. She wants the big house, the nice car, and the great trips.

It's human nature and very few have the discipline to avoid it.
