I agree... I think it depends on whether you are the type that would likely
excel in whatever you do vs.. some in medicine that would flounder if they did anything else..

But there are some things that add to the job that can't be understood by others (demands of night work/call, stress of killing someone, etc)..

But on the flip side its nice knowing I could live basically anywhere I want and as long as I don't speak up in meetings or do something stupid that I'm unlikely to ever get fired.. I also don't have the stress of hundreds of employees counting on me. I don't have the stress of needing job promotions..

So I agree that many in medicine have no clue what others have to go through to.

So obviously a lot to it both ways and agree in the end work just sucks for many and that's just life.
