It’s soul crushing to go thru grad school and then be poor again.
When I went to law school I remember at the time the average salary of grads from my school was $135k. That was the main reason I went to law school. Between taxes, student loans, and cost of living in a big city, my big firm salary really didn’t go far those first few years even though I was working like a maniac. Took longer to get my feet under me financially than I expected, which was really frustrating at the time.
