There is a good chance you are LDS and so would be your tenants. it will be difficult to maintain a business relationship with them. You will be aware when little Johnny needs braces, a new baby is arriving, someone lost their job, etc.

I never liked my tenants knowing that I was the owner. Early on in my career, I would still give the appearance that I was only the manager. I didn't have to be involved with the crisis that comes up with tenants and could always blame my decision on that mean old landlord. tenants will always ask you for special favors and you will be on the spot for a quick answer. It is always easier to tell them you will need to check and then get back to them. it worked very well for me.
