When mine does this it is caused by something getting stuck in the trap
Like bits of paper or toothpicks and suck. I have to remove some parts down there to get at the trap and clean it out.

If it is greasy, you may want to try some form of industrial grease cleaner.

That probably means your dishwasher isn’t draining all the way. Check to see if your filter is clogged.
