Just didn't have the longevity. Let's put Matt Ryan in there as well, his stats are up there with Rivers, and he has an MVP, what about Matt Stafford, he's not there yet, but give him 5-6 years and his stats will be pretty good too. Why don't we just include every QB who ever player the position somewhat well, and they were QB.

Like I said, he'll get in, I don't think he should. I think QBs need to be looked at differently. Meanwhile it takes 20 years for a safety with 8 pro bowls in 11 seasons, 2 all pro, and 2 superbowls multiple years to get in.

I don't think players should get in for being pretty good for a long time, they need to be great. And while Rivers was pretty good, he was clearly a notch below several other QBs in his era.
