I have no idea why BYU is continuing to bar fans. I've been to every single one
of my daughters' VB and BB games since school started in August. I was in a HS gym on Saturday night with about 400 fans to watch the championship games of a mid-season BB tournament with nobody other than about 12 school employees and 4-5 fans wearing masks. In our region of MO, the COVID positivity rate bounces back and forth between 7% and 9%. Attendance at sporting events is not driving the spread of COVID in any measurable way. Let fans back in.

It is incredibly expensive to staff and operate an arena with fans as opposed to no fans for event. It’s a $$ decision

We run an arena and stadium in my city- I know the costs, and we don’t donate the concessions $$ like BYU
