Clearly something was wrong with him — & it went far beyond bball. His transfer was obviously the right deal for all parties.

But ultimately Matt deserves a lot of credit for choosing & sticking it out at BYU for as long as he did. It's not an easy adjustment for most folk, obviously. Matt had mentioned this in interviews he gave at Marquette — but to his credit, I didn't hear him in those interviews bag on BYU or the people even, really. Just said it was a difficult environment both on & off the court.
