And there's zero chance I'd take Wilson over Lawrence. But just because he's not as valued a prospect as a generational talent like Trevor Lawrence doesn't make ZW a bust.
There's been plenty of years where BOTH top QBs were busts or mediocre at best. Some of them he just brushed over (Winston/Mariota, Goff/Wentz, Bortles/Manziel) and quite a few happened in the years before that
2007: JaMarcus Russell, Brady Quinn
2006: Vince Young, Matt Leinart
2002: David Carr, Joey Harrington
But there's also drafts where both players are successes
2008: Matt Ryan, Joe Flacco
2005: Alex Smith, Aaron Rodgers
2004: Eli Manning, Philip Rivers
Trevor Lawrence's future success (or lack thereof) has nothing to do with how well Zach Wilson will turn out. I love Lawrence. He'd be my #1 pick. That's not a shot at Zach though or a prediction that he'll be a bust. They can both be successful, but the biggest thing for both will be injuries and where they end up.
