Doesn't Utah have a longer playoff involving more teams in their state playoffs? So why would it be good for them and not college?

My thought is include all conf champs (10 total. Then six at large teams with no more than two from any conference - so no third place team.)

Start the season a week earlier (which they have already done in the past)
12 season games over 13 weeks.
Conf champ weekend.

Two weeks and playoffs begin. Either 1st round at higher seed or close neutral site (if someone wants to pay to host) Four teams eliminated can now accept bowl game invitations. (the first round should be in first week of Dec. (8 teams eliminated).
Second round (2nd week of Dec) losers play in current NY bowl games (4 losers in 2nd round)
Semi's (3r week of Dec)2 losers play each other in NY6 game a week after NY weekend (defacto 3rd place game) or this could be played same day as championship game (these would be the last NY6 game and the BCS champ game).
Champ game 1 to 2 weeks following last NY6 game. (3rt to 4th week in Jan.
