Don't put your safety on the line for Home Depot's property

If it were a small business owned by someone that you know, then I could totally understand stepping in to help. That said, nothing would be worse than getting seriously injured or killed to save HD a few hundred dollars. Even if you did help them to catch the guy, it would probably be a thankless effort.
