The "fairest" system would be 16 teams w/ 10 conference champs and 6 at-large.

Give home field advantage to higher seeds for first 2 rounds. Semis and championship at neutral sites just like they are now. Every conference gets a shot. Top seeds get easier paths to the later rounds plus added revenue from hosting additional games.

It will just end up a majority P5 tournament with maybe 1 or 2 G5 sprinkled in for "inclusion"

Probably should be. 12-16 at least gives smaller schools a chance at it though. Why I prefer 16 with no byes.
