But still having no luck.
The worst part is that, in my mind, this is artificial scarcity that's meant to drive Rolex upmarket without actually forcing Rolex to significantly improve its level of quality. Rolex is now playing the waitlist game, just like Patek and AP, and I could easily see their endgame being to make some of their models (like the Yachtmaster or the GMTs) similarly desirable and difficult to source as the Nautilus or Royal Oak. Meanwhile, they've got display cases full of Tudor so that they can still capture buyers who want a Sub or Sub-like watch but don't have the patience for a waitlist (or the means to buy their way to the front of the line).
It's a despicable strategy, and yet I still want a Milgauss and would probably also buy a Sub (and a Kermit Sub, and a GMT) if given the opportunity.
