A little surprised by their recommendation of the cheap Hamilton Beach cooker, but Serious Eats is pretty anal about their tests, so it may be worthwhile if you aren't a rice snob. I've seen the Cuckoo cooker highly recommended by other sites, as well (it's red though...).
Zojirushi has been the strongest brand for a long time, but in recent years, they've started making their less expensive models in China, FWIW.
I have the 15-year old equivalent of the Zojirushi NS-TSC10 and have been very happy with it. Haven't tried the fancy induction/pressure versions. Some people say they're amazing, but I don't know if I'm enough of a rice aficionado to make it worthwhile. I just get the Costco bags rather than hunting out the high-end, new-harvest Japanese varieties.
