If you like good rice and cook it frequently, then don't buy a USA rice cooker. You want Asian. Preferably

a Japanese Zojirushi or a Korean Cuckoo.

This is the newer model of the old Zojirushi we bought 9 years ago. And love it. I'd buy again, at no hesitation for $280.

Calrose is the baseline. Add some premium sushi rice with it (2:1 ratio) and prepare for deliciousness to overwhelm.
