THere are similarities in how a cyclist should behave on the road.
I rode a motorcycle for 7 years while living in Arizona. I had a naked sport bike called an Aprilia Shiver. I loved that bike and I loved riding it. It actually saved me quite a bit of money especially when gas was so expensive. However, the reason I never had a close call was that I alwasy look the approach that, despite the fact that others were supposed to obey the laws respecting motorcycles, no one saw me. I rode as if I was invisible and did things as I rode to reduse the risk of me getting hit.
Cyclists should behave the same way. The problem for cyclists is that they don't have the benifit of a machine with speed that can get them out of trouble,
My point is cyclists, even though you have laws that are designed to protect you, you are a small person on a bike, and cars don't see you. Riding side by side on a road that barely has enough room for the 4 lanes is not smart and you risk getting yourself killed.
