when you say cyclists should ride like motorcyclists but then you say they shouldn't ride side by side. I was a motorcyclist too and they trained us to go side by side to be more visible, which is the whole goal as you said.

BTW, I actually believe cyclists are more like pedestrians than they are like vehicles. For that reason, I wish we adopted more off-road biking paths in the U.S. like other countries do. I think trying to force cyclists onto busy roads is a disaster in city planning and painful for everyone.
