compared to imessage, Group me is terrible. We use it in the family group text
because my brother has an android and so does my sister in law. Brother has said he'll probably get an iPhone after his mission (call expected to come next week)
Sister in law's family is completely anti iPhone... which makes sense cause they all have macs? I think she will also convert when she feels like she wants a new phone. The brother she married was once anti apple as well; but he's seen the light

Actually, it really isn't very different in cost. Can you get a Suburban for quite a bit less? Absolutely.
