I don’t recall saying Apple gouges people. I’ve always said Apple charges what the market bears. I was responding to someone upset that Apple ruined everything by charging too much.

I’m a market guy in this arena. If people pay for Apple so be it. I’m not one to judge. But there’s no argument that Apple products cost more at check out than other companies. Again, not a bad thing, just fact.

Value is imbued by the consumer. If the consumer finds it valuable they’ll pay for it.

Apple has intentionally stayed clear of the cheap, simple machines. Maybe because they got burned in the late 80’s when that was their model and things went south.
