One awesome player (the best that tried out and one that I knew well because he had been playing a year up within the club) chose to play 2 levels DOWN with another club because: 1) he was mad at his former coach, and 2) to be with a friend. I talked with the dad twice.... Our conversation started with him excited about his son on our team, but then would end with him expressing his anger with the former coach (he wanted his son at forward, not defense).... I had to tell him at the end of each conversation that I wasn't his former coach. BTW, he did guest pass a couple times on my team and I never played him in the defense — always as a midfielder/forward. I may have dodged a bullet with parent chemistry, but his son is awesome and a big miss.

Also, I'm not a fan of other clubs recruiting our players and bad mouthing other clubs. It's very weird at this younger age.
