To claim it's ONLY religious prejudice is to launch into a victim mentality and ignore facts. Frankly, it does a disservice to our team.

BYU simply wasn't as strong a team as Utah at the time, and definitely not as strong as TCU.

Could maybe make an argument for being stronger than Colorado, but Colorado was already a P5 so had that credibility - plus the PAC12 was trying to weaken the Big12 at the time so they could poach their best teams. So Colorado was a must from that perspective.
